With the excesses of the festive period drawing to a close, I thought I would excuse myself from my household duties and explore one of the more scenic locations near Tilehurst, the suburb of Reading where I happen to reside.
Known as Sulham Woods, thus named after the nearby village of Sulham which was mentioned in the Doomsday Book, the woodland and meadows beneath are collectively a site of special scientific interest, which covers approximately 78 hectares.
